| Although
COMPUSHIFT is fully functional without it,
the optional Display / Programmer adds many
new features to the system. The
display can monitor the health of your transmission
by indicating the transmission temperature,
current gear, torque converter lock up, and
throttle position as you drive. The
display can function as a digital or bar
graph tachometer or speedometer and is also
a split second stopwatch.
As
a special benefit and tune up aid, the display
can act as a rolling dynamometer, telling
you how much horsepower is being used to
accelerate your vehicle.
The
display can be a "G" meter, indicating the
G’s of acceleration or deceleration. This
powerful feature allows testing of brake
and engine performance. The display is also
capable of indicating fault codes, should
the transmission or controller experience
any number system faults.
